Fitness Profiling/Exercise Prescription

What ever your level or ability Pirate Fitness has a gym programme to help you reach your goals and renew your enthusiasm for the gym.
At Pirate’s we are continually looking to raise the standard of instruction we provide our members.

Pirate Fitness has devised several ways to help you gain the most from your exercise regime and keep your workouts fresh and interesting, with various ways of monitoring progression. Below are some of the programmes available to Pirate Fitness members.

Getting Started

Pirate Fitness ensures all new members are shown how to use all equipment safely using the most appropriate and effective methods.

At Pirate Fitness we try to give our members 3 appointments before they are let loose on their exercise programmes and schedules.

Appointment 1: Induction
A 35-45 minute session to introduce you to the gym equipment. How to set up and use the cardio vascular and fixed resistance machines safely and effectively.

Appointment 2: Fitness Profile
This assessment will determine your current level of fitness. The fitness assessment covers all aspects including cardio vascular, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, body fat and all girth measurements. The assessment will help to prescribe the correct intensity of your gym programme.

Appointment 3: Exercise Programme
Based on the results from the fitness assessment and your own personal goals an instructor will produce a structured exercise programme for you to follow. The length of the session can vary depending on the individual.

All programmes are monitored after every visit and reviewed on a regular basis to keep your workouts effective and interesting.

Weight Management
(LEAN) Lifestyle Exercise and Nutrition
Course Summary

The aim of the 8 week programme is to give people the right information and environment to ensure safe long-term weight loss, and to be a constant source of inspiration, support and advice. To also help clients make sense of the many complex and often mixed messages relating to nutrition and exercise, as well as highlighting key issues that will genuinely impact long-term weight loss, and optimise health.


Optimum Nutrition

The course provides an education in nutrition and focuses on optimum eating for weight loss, and for lifelong health. The trained staff leading the course will take into consideration your personal circumstances and provide the information, motivation and environment offering a long-term solution. Diets don’t work on their own, they are temporary. This type of programme which offers nutritional advice and exercise is the only permanent solution and will ensure that you achieve and maintain the weight that you want.

Each week will included an assessment, all measurements and body fat will be taken and a new set of goals for each weeks following diets

£60 Pirate Fitness Members

£120 Non Members
(This will include 8 weeks Pirate Fitness gym membership)

 

 

30 Minute Gym
(Advanced Exercise Programme for those short on time)

If you struggle to find time to fit a workout into your hectic lifestyle then 30 Minute Gym is a great way to keep fit in a limited amount of time. It can also be used to add variety to existing exercise programmes.

Each 30 Minute Gym programme follows tight guidelines to keep your workout on track and ensure you always work to you’re your full potential.

The cardio vascular section (aerobic fitness) follows progressive interval training in blocks of 5 minutes. You will only be asked to do a maximum of 15 minutes cardio vascular work.
The rest of the programme is resistance exercise (weight training). All resistance exercises follow a one set of maximum weight for each major muscle group of the body.

You programme will be assessed by a Trainer every 5 sessions. This ensures you don’t become complacent and train at your optimal level,
